These Terms and Conditions govern your use of this Website and your relationship with us Velvet Affair. Please read them carefully before using the Website. Using the Website indicates that you accept these Terms and Conditions regardless of whether or not you choose to purchase from us. If you do not accept these Terms and Conditions, please do not use the Website.

This Website is provided for your personal use subject to these Terms and Conditions. By using the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility

You must be a resident in the United Kingdom to use this Website and purchase goods from us.

Price

If any goods are shown on the Website at an incorrect price due to a typographical or other error, we reserve the right to refuse to supply those goods to you at that price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the item concerned. All prices include VAT unless otherwise stated.

The price does not include standard postage and delivery charges.

If goods are returned to us then the cost of postage and delivery will be yours to pay

Payment

You can pay by MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron, Visa Purchasing, Solo and Switch/Maestro.

Availability of goods

No contract will come into place between us until we actually despatch the goods to you. Until that point, we may decline to supply the goods to you for any reason.

If a particular item is no longer available/out of stock, then we shall provide this information on the site

The colour and sizing of products shown on the Website can only be used as a guide and colours and sizes may differ slightly from product to product. We may also make variations to the products shown on the Website but these will not affect their quality.

Delivery

Delivery will be made to the address in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, which you provide to us as the delivery address when submitting your order.

We will do our best to deliver the goods within 7 days of the date of your order but will not be liable for delay in delivery arising as a result of any cause beyond our reasonable control.

The price includes standard postage and delivery charges. Where special deliveries are required then it is your responsibility to contact us with details

Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel any order within 7 working days of receipt of the goods from us, with the exception of the following (unless they are faulty):

*Any goods which, by reason of their nature cannot be returned (e.g. personal products) or which are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly.

*Any goods that have been supplied to your specifications or clearly personalised;

Please send notice of cancellation by email to info@velvetaffair.co.uk or call us on 0161 336 2200, stating your name and order number and details.

If the goods have already been despatched at the date of receipt of your cancellation, you must return the goods to us unused and with the original packaging intact and repackaged securely. It will be your responsibility to cover the cost of the return of goods to us.

We will credit your credit or debit card or reimburse you by your method of payment with the price of the goods within 30 days beginning with the day on which notice of cancellation was given.

If you do not return the goods within 21 days of cancellation, we will make a charge in respect of the cost of recovering the goods. If you do not return the goods within 30 days of your notice of cancellation, you will be deemed to have accepted the goods, and you will be charged for them.

If an item is returned which is not faulty, you will be refunded the costs of the goods and the post and packaging charges but not the return postal charges.

Returns Policy

Our returns policy is valid for 14 days from receipt of an item.

You may return any item that was faulty or damaged when received for a full refund. We will refund your card once we have received and processed the item.

In the case of our Toys range we will only accept returns for items that arrive to you in a faulty condition. These items must be returned to us unused and in original packaging. If there is any evidence that the item has been used then we withhold the right to a refund.

 You may return items of clothing that do not meet your specifications or and incorrect sizing. These items must be returned to us unused and in original packaging/with original tags

Limitations on use of website

You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or from the Website any material:

*that is threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, seditious, offensive, pornographic, abusive, liable to incite racial hatred, discriminatory, menacing, scandalous, inflammatory, blasphemous, in breach of confidence, in breach of privacy or which may cause annoyance or inconvenience; or

*for which you have not obtained all necessary licences and/or approval; or

*which constitutes or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise be contrary to the law of or infringe the rights of any third party, in any country in the world; or

*which is technically harmful (including, without limitation, computer viruses).

*You may not misuse the Website (including, without limitation, by hacking).

Amendments

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time and will notify these changes to you by posting the amended Terms and Conditions on the Website. The changes will apply to all use of the Website after we have posted the new Terms and Conditions. If you continue to use the Website after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of the Website will indicate your agreement to be bound by the new Terms and Conditions.
